Blogging Mommies
Moms likely to write, read blogs
In the United States, 3.9 million moms are writing blogs, according to eMarketer. Their readers include the 32 million moms who go online in the US.
- More than 17 million women with kids under 18 read blogs at least monthly
- In 2014, 63% of all online moms will read blogs, up from 54% this year
- Moms are more likely to visit blogs than general internet users
Market Thoughtfully to Moms
But marketers need to remember these women are writing about much more than being a mommy. In fact, the only identifiable commonality among the bloggers is they all have children. That’s where the similarities end. Differences are as varied as the opinion shared on everything from cars and coupons to travel and technology.
Moms who use blogs also tend to be frequent social media users. For marketers, this means you need to remember to use Facebook and Twitter to talk to moms.
